Our After school kids building a huge project together.

Planning it out and communicating together in English.

It's exactly what we wanted when we first set about creating Little Lorikeets 12 years ago.

Every day a they can come and chat to their mates in English.

What a great chance.

Yesterday and today we went to the park. Yesterday was the first time this year and the new students had a lot of fun 😄.

After GW we will be going to the park often and starting P.E.

Today was the first evacuation drill of the school year. The theme was Earthquakes and what we will do when an Earthquake occurs.

Next months drill will be on what we will do if a fire occurs.

The end of the week. "Golden Week" is next. We will be back on the 30th , 1st,2nd and then back on the 7th after that. Then pretty much running straight until Summer break.

Hopefully everyone will still remember English 😅👍

Getting use to the Little Lorikeets system.

Putting stickers on the sticker books.

We make the Sticker Book every year with different pictures in it, that the students can colour in once the month is finished.

They really enjoy looking at the images.

Maybe 🤔 we have gotten to familiarity level 1.

No crying from our youngest student when the staff goes to the door to let in our other students 😁

Our Munchkin class which the new students were members of must be one of the reasons for quick acclimatization.

Back to school. 

Still a bit of crying, missing mum and dad. 

But better than last week. 

Soon we will start going to the park and doing Field trips.

2025 is turning out to be a great Year.

Near the end of the week and all the new students are starting to get use to the school.

Crying has declined significantly 😅

And next week should be even better.

Tuesday and everyone is getting back into the flow. The new students are starting to get a handle of the school processes and schedule.

The new social order is developing between the older students now that the old year 5 have graduated.

A few years 🥲😅 but calmed down pretty quickly.

Which is a good sign meaning we can start the regular schedule sooner 🤔 maybe 😅

Early days for Elementary school at the start of the school year.

So let make the most of it and meet our friends at Little Lorikeets.

They all go to different schools, so being able to come together and speak English together is the best opportunity for them to keep on developing their English.

Today another part time staff started.

It's great to have qualified staff 保育士 working with the children.

This year should be a great year for Little Lorikeets.

Back to it and a new school year for little Lorikeets.

First day, new members, a little bit of crying 😂 but this is always the way.

After a few days, weeks 😅 everyone will be in the flow and having fun.

Today was the Little Lorikeets Entry Ceremony.

New members and old members a like, all came a long and introduced themselves.

We also Introduced our new staff.

We talked about our goals as a kindergarten and what we would like the parents to do from their side.

It was a quick light ceremony on a beautiful spring day.

Next time we meet will be on the 10th of April.
