Regular Park Time Starting Back

Back to the park now that everyone is calming down and our new teacher has started working into the afternoon.

We understand the difficult situation Daycare workers go through. Having to balance family as well as work. Now the primary school year is in full swing she is able to work until 14.30.

Soon our field trip season starts so having the full team available makes such things easier.

From the school Principal:

In Good to Great by Jim Collins which I read in class during my studies at GLOBIS University - Graduate School of Management had some excellent points. And one of them was the "getting the right people on the bus" metaphor.

Through Globus I learnt the importance of developing appropriate criteria when analysing issues of business, especially important when it comes to hiring people.

In the past I didn't really have any idea of what to do when we came to HR and hiring people and have hired some interesting individuals that haven't quite worked out. But since finishing Globis and thinking in terms of getting the right people on the bus and establishing clear-cut criteria on what we need, the quality of my selection has increased dramatically.

Of course for me it's still a learning process as I develop this skill set. The team, we have now is the team that I would want to have on the bus, and having that, I'll go out of my way to make sure that this environment is a good environment for them to work in and that they want to stay here.

Servant leadership is a thing that professor Tomoya Nakamura expounds consistently in his classes and is something that really warrants the attention of business leaders, even leaders of small businesses like my own.
